The announcement that one of Wales' top rugby teams is heading for administration has shocked fans.

Cardiff Rugby has announced it intends to serve a notice of intent (NOI) to appoint an administrator, with the Welsh Rugby Union in line to take over the side.

On varsity day in Cardiff, when the city's university team faces off against Swansea, students reacted to the news.

One described the grassroots game in Wales as "pretty shocking".
