Two men charged over rape of man in Brighton

Two men have been charged with rape, following an attack on a teenage man in Brighton, East Sussex.

The 19-year-old victim was assaulted in Steine Lane at about 03:30 GMT on 21 December.

George Ellis, 40, and Mark Lett, 42, both from Redhill in Surrey, were charged with raping a man, and with committing an offence with the intention of committing a relevant sexual offence.

Police said they are due to appear at Lewes Crown Court on Monday.

Det Insp Sean Booth said: "We are still urging anyone with information about this incident to contact Sussex Police, quoting Operation Attach."

The victim is receiving support from specialist officers.
