A man arrested in Londonderry following a reported stabbing on Sunday morning has been released on bail.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) attended the incident, alongside personnel from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS), in Faustina Terrace just after 09:30 BST.

A man in his 40s, with a serious wound to his arm, was taken to hospital for treatment for his injuries.

A 31-year-old man, who was arrested on suspicion of a number of offences following the incident, has been released on bail to allow for further enquiries, the police have said.
