Hull and East Yorkshire mayoral election: Luke Campbell

Luke Campbell, 37, is a former professional boxer and a lifelong resident of the area
Mr Campbell, who is the Reform UK candidate, said: "This region has given me everything, and now I'm standing to be your mayor to give the people a voice."
He says he will cut out waste and improve accountability in council spending
Mr Campbell has pledged to make council spending more transparent.
"I want the people of Hull and East Yorkshire to know that their hard-earned money is being spent responsibly and on what matters."
He wants to fix public transport
Mr Campbell wants to take back control of the bus network and fix the broken transport system.
"It's time we put local people, not private operators, in charge; I'll push to bring buses back into public control, improving reliability, affordability, and routes tailored to local needs."
Luke Campbell wants more government investment
"We deserve more than £13.3m a year. Hull and East Yorkshire have long been overlooked and underfunded, as your Mayor, I'll ask [Sir] Keir Starmer to ensure our region gets its fair share to fund crucial services and infrastructure improvements."
He wants young people to have access to high-quality jobs
Mr Campbell wants to ensure young people get the skills they need for high-quality jobs.
"I'll partner directly with schools, colleges, and local businesses to create training programmes and workshops, equipping our youth with skills that match the demands of a modern workforce."
He is pledging to attract investment into the area
Mr Campbell said he would support businesses and attract investment to the region.
"I will actively be promoting Hull and East Yorkshire as a hub for innovation and enterprise, I'll make our region a magnet for new businesses and high-quality jobs."
