NUFC fans not here to celebrate cup win remembered
Newcastle United fans who did not live to see the team's longed-for Carabao Cup win have been at the forefront of the thoughts of their friends and families.
BBC Look North presenter Carol Malia showed a photo of her late Dad at the end of the programme two days after the team's Wembley victory.
She said that he had been there, in a way, but had no idea of the kind of response this would receive.
Hundreds of people reached out to the BBC to say how they were moved to tears because they had the same story to tell and they sent us photos of their loved ones.
