Scooter champ prepares to take on the world

Josh Popham started scootering after a chance trip to RampWorld, Cardiff, when he was eight years old.

Now, at 16, he is preparing for a year of international competitions after winning the over-13s title at the UK national championships in October 2024.

The Bridgend-based teen is hopeful that scootering will soon follow in the footsteps of other extreme sports like BMX riding and skateboarding, and eventually get into the Olympics.

He said his recent win was "one of the nicest feelings".
