An elderly woman has been injured after being hit by a fence following strong winds across Wales.

The pedestrian was knocked over by the metal fence on Heathwood Road in Cardiff and suffered injuries to her head and leg.

Wednesday's weather warning saw flash flooding hit Kidwelly, Carmarthenshire, Gorseinon in Swansea and Neath.

Homes were also flooded in south-west Wales following the heavy rain and storms.

It comes after the Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for the whole of Wales, which came to an end at midday on Wednesday.

It resulted in firefighters rescuing three young people and a man from a bus stuck in flood water in Aberdulais, Neath Port Talbot, at about 09:00 BST.
