Basingstoke murder release after woman found dead in flat
GoogleA man arrested on suspicion of murdering a woman has been released.
Hampshire police were called to Maldive Road in Popley, Basingstoke, at about 16:00 GMT on Tuesday.
A woman in her 50s was pronounced dead at the scene. A 47-year-old man was arrested but has since been released on police bail until 19 March 2024.
The force released a statement confirming it is continuing to investigate after the results of a post-mortem were inconclusive.
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary said that woman's next-of-kin are being supported by specialist officers.
