Basingstoke murder arrest after woman found dead in flat
GoogleA man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman was found dead at a flat.
Police were called to Maldive Road in Popley, Basingstoke, at about 16:00 GMT on Tuesday.
The woman, aged in her 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene, where officers remained overnight.
A 47-year-old man from Basingstoke was arrested and remains in custody, Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary said.
