Man left with 'life-changing' injuries after crash

A teenage motorbike rider has been left with life-changing injuries after a crash in East Sussex, police have said.

Emergency services were called to Lewes Road, near Piddinghoe, at about midday on Thursday to reports of a crash involving a red Kia Sportage and an orange KTM motorbike.

The motorbike rider, a 19-year-old man from Brighton, remains in hospital in a stable condition. The Kia driver, a 49-year-old local woman, was not injured, said police.

Sussex Police is asking anyone who witnessed the incident, or has video footage of the crash or the moments before it, to come forward.
