Man found dead in car behind hedgerow

A man has been found dead in a car behind a hedgerow in East Yorkshire.
Humberside Police was called to the B1249 near Driffield at about 20:25 BST on Monday after a member of the public said they had seen a car in a field.
Officers initially could not find it, but a further search found the black Peugeot 207 behind a hedge near the York Road junction just after 23:00 BST.
The driver, a 46-year-old man, was declared dead at the scene.
His family have been informed.
Humberside Police has voluntarily referred itself to the Independent Office for Police Conduct.
The force is appealing for anyone who may have been in the area between 20:05 and 20:25 BST and saw the vehicle or has dashcam footage to get in touch.
