PCSO sexually assaulted colleagues, court told
A police community support officer (PCSO) sexually assaulted colleagues on three occasions after drinking at work social events, a jury has been told.
Paul Simpkins, of Huddersfield, touched a colleague's leg in a taxi and on a separate occasion at a bar, Bradford Crown Court heard.
He is also accused of touching another male colleague in a hotel room.
Mr Simpkins, 43, of Martin Wood Bank in Almondbury, denies three charges of sexual assault.
The first incident is alleged to have happened on 3 February 2022 in a taxi after a night out.
The complainant told the court Mr Simpkins got in a taxi with him and a female colleague after a night out.
Once the female colleague left the car, the complainant said Mr Simpkins touched his thigh and tried to kiss his neck.
'Pushed his hand off'
"I pushed his hand off and said something along the lines of 'pack it in'," the complainant said.
"This happened again and then Paul lent over as if to kiss the left side of my neck.
"Whilst going to kiss my neck Paul did grab hold of my crotch."
The complainant went on to describe "ushering" Mr Simpkins out of the taxi, before he received a text from the defendant offering to meet him regularly after work.
The complainant said he made it clear that was not going to happen.
Jurors also heard that on 8 July 2022 at Mavericks bar in Huddersfield Mr Simpkins touched the same complainant's leg again under a table.
"He started touching my right leg very similarly to the first incident," the complainant said.
The complainant said that he went outside to the smoking area to speak with some colleagues.
The third charge relates to an incident following the night out.
Prosecutor Ian Howard said that on 9 July, a colleague staying in a hotel brought Mr Simpkins back with him as he felt it was not safe for him to travel home due to being too drunk.
Jurors heard that Mr Simpkins got into bed with the complainant and touched his bare chest.
The complainant said he got out of the bed to sit on the sofa and told Mr Simpkins to leave.
The trial continues.
