Man and woman arrested after M25 waste lorry crash

Two people have been arrested following a crash between a waste lorry and a roadsweeper which has caused a section of the M25 near Oxted to close.
Surrey Police said the man, 30, and the woman, 25, were arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and driving without due care following the incident which caused spillage of oil, diesel and waste on the motorway.
One person was taken to Kings College Hospital in London following the collision, said South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb).
Police are asking witnesses or anyone with CCTV, dash or helmet cam footage of the accident to get in touch.
The anticlockwise carriageway between junction six (Godstone) and five (Chevening) was shut at about 04:14 BST and is expected to remain closed for "several hours", according to police.
National Highways warned work to clear the "large spillage" will be "extensive and complex" and the road will need to be resurfaced.
"The road will be closed through morning peak period," the agency said.
National Highways said shortly after 07:00 there were delays of 40 minutes on the approach to the closed section.
Just after 08:00 traffic caught within the closure had been cleared.

Drivers have been told to exit the M25 at junction six onto the A25 and rejoin the motorway after Sundridge.
The delays are affecting thousands of vehicles heading to or from locations such as Heathrow and Gatwick airports, the Port of Dover and the Eurotunnel terminal at Folkestone.
Surrey Police warned there has been congestion on the A25 through Oxted due to diversions and temporary traffic lights.
