Thousands without water due to burst pipe

Thousands of homes on the north side of York were left without water on Thursday morning due to a burst pipe.
Yorkshire Water sent engineers to Wigginton Road to fix the large main and said the water supply was now returning to normal.
Properties in the postcodes YO32, YO30, YO61 and YO62, which include Clifton Moor, Haxby and Strensall, were affected.
Residents had reported very low water pressure or no water supply at all since about 06:00 BST and were unable to shower or flush toilets.
A Yorkshire Water spokesperson said: "We have re-zoned the water network, and customers are beginning to see their supply returning to normal.
"We would like to apologise to impacted customers."
For safety reasons, there are two-way lights on Wigginton Road while repairs continue.
The water company did not say exactly how many homes were impacted by the burst pipe.
