Man arrested following shooting

A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a shooting.

West Midlands Police said a car, which had been linked to a shooting in Dudley on 6 April, was stopped by armed officers on Great Hampton Street in Wolverhampton on Monday night and a "live and viable" firearm was recovered.

A 34-year-old man was arrested.

The man who was shot is continuing to recover from his injuries, the force added.
