A woman was left with serious injuries after she was hit by a car which failed to stop in Bradford.

The woman, in her 30s, was struck at the junction of Godwin Street and Sunbridge Road at 21:00 BST on Saturday, West Yorkshire Police said.

The force has released a CCTV image of the car, a dark-coloured BMW, in an attempt to trace the vehicle and the driver.

Anyone who saw the car around the time of the crash, or who has any further information, is being asked to contact them.

Police said the woman's injuries were serious but not life-threatening.
