Overnight closures as bridge works continue
North East Lincolnshire CouncilA series of closures on the A180 have been announced as part of ongoing bridge work.
North East Lincolnshire Council said bearings under the Gilbey Road bridge in Grimsby are being replaced as part of a project that has been taking place since November.
The latest works would result in closures affecting the entire bridge in both directions, with people being advised to check on traffic management plans ahead of journeys.
Bridge bearings help reduce any stresses that can build up in the bridge structure, the council added.
The confirmed planned closures will include:
- Friday 17 January
- Monday 20 January
- Friday 24 January
- Monday 27 January
- Friday 21 February
- Monday 24 February
- Monday 3 March
- Wednesday 5 March
Closures will be between 20:00 and 00:00 GMT, although the council added it is likely that the work will not take that amount of time.
