Essex Police said the collision involved a lorry and two cars

A major road has reopened following a crash involving a lorry and two cars.

On Tuesday, Essex Police said the A12 had been shut southbound between junction 12 for Brentwood and junction 11 for the M25.

The crash happened at about 15:20 GMT and emergency services were called to the scene, police said.

National Highways said on X that police, fire and ambulance crews had attended.
