Baltimore bridge demolished with controlled explosions

Crews on Monday carried out controlled explosions on the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore to separate its remains from the stricken Dali cargo ship.

The crash in March killed six people and sent about 4,000 tonnes of debris into the Patapsco River.

The 948 ft (289 m) ship has remained at the scene since the accident and is covered in scrap from the bridge.

Sunday's planned demolition was postponed due to lightning storms.
