Rugby club owner asked himself 'what have I done?'

A rugby club owner who described a forthcoming event as "definitely not for girls" has admitted he should not have led the campaign on the club's social media account.

Matty Young said he had "so much to learn" following the now-deleted Neath RFC post which prompted strong condemnation from prominent players and politicians.

Mr Young said he had been "impulsive" in publishing the post early that he said was meant to have been part of a plan to promote the club's junior girls team.

He said: "By the time I got home it had 250,000 views and I'm thinking, what have I done?"

Mr Young has apologised and the post has since been deleted.
