'Media wrongly saw weight gain as sign of sadness'

Broadcaster and activist Jameela Jamil says her experiences dealing with newspapers, magazines and paparazzi showed her the "media manipulation around women's bodies".

Jamil, from north London, has long been an advocate for positive body image and mental health and had a well-documented struggle with anorexia.

Speaking to BBC Radio London's Shay Kaur Grewal, she recalled a time when photographers camped outside her home for six months and took photos of her after she gained weight. They were then published alongside photos of her when she was anorexic.

Jamil has now brought back her Move For Your Mind festival to London, celebrating body positivity and self-love.
