Paddleboarding artist paints watercolours at sea

Anita Jazmin is an artist who takes a literal approach to painting with watercolours.

Being colour-centric in her artwork, Anita collaborates with the sea and uses the saltwater in her creations.

Her art is inspired by nature and features in her debut solo exhibition, People, Places and Paddling, which is being displayed at Washington Arts Centre, in Sunderland, until 5 July.

The paintings depict views of Roker, where Anita lives, and from where she sets off regularly on her paddleboard.
