Fly-tippers have dumped more than 200 used tyres near a main road in Wester Ross, police have said.
Police Scotland has appealed for information about the incident next to the A890 close to Strathcarron.
It is believed the tyres were dumped over a period of time and police have sought sightings of vehicles visiting the area near Attadale Estate.
Highland Council has estimated the incident will cost it more than £2,140 to deal with.

The local authority said fly-tipping was a serious problem in area.
It said at the weekend a waste cassette from the toilet of a campervan or caravan was found dumped at a school in Lochaber and required "an extensive clean-up".
