Gloucestershire PC in court charged with driving offences
A police officer has appeared in court charged with driving police vehicles while disqualified.
PC Miles Caffull, a 26-year-old response officer based in Gloucester, is charged with three counts of driving while disqualified and three counts of using a motor vehicle without third-party insurance.
Gloucestershire Police said the charges were from 26 May to 16 June 2023.
They include the use of police cars vehicles while on duty.
It is alleged that he was disqualified from driving in May 2023, after receiving 12 points on his licence for speeding offences, but did not declare this to the force.
The defendant, of Saxon Way, Ledbury, Herefordshire spoke only to confirm his name, date of birth and address during the hearing.
He was asked to not enter pleas to the six charges he faces.
PC Caffull will appear before a district judge at Kidderminster Magistrates' Court on 15 January 2024.
