The fire at Furama Palace is deemed accidental as the venue's owners thank people for their support.

The restaurant roof appears to have been destroyed after a fire broke out at the premises.

Firefighters were called to a business premises in Stoke-on-Trent late on Tuesday night.

Police say a lorry collided with overhead cables, which fell onto the roof of a thatched cottage.
