Bankrupt Woking Borough Council is chasing £13.2m it loaned to Greenfield School.

Tim Oliver, from Surrey County Council, spoke to BBC Radio Surrey Breakfast presenter James Cannon.

Active Surrey says the council and partners will instead provide opportunities for youngsters.

Woking Borough Council is calling on community groups to apply to run the West Byfleet Pavilion.

The proposal by the county council is to reorganise councils in Surrey into two unitary authorities.

The project now involves "a full exterior refurbishment of each block", a council says.

Woking Borough Council says the government has agreed to provide financial support.

The government is expected to make a decision on the final proposals by the end of 2025.
