Arrest after scooter rider injured in A435 crash

A scooter rider has been taken to hospital with serious injuries and a woman arrested on suspicion of drink or drug-driving after a crash in Worcestershire.
The collision at the roundabout near Becketts Farm, Wythall, on the A435 involved a Yamaha NMAX 125 scooter and a Honda Jazz, West Mercia Police said.
Officers, appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage, said the crash happened just before 11:00 BST on Sunday.
A 45-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and driving while unfit through drink or drugs, and bailed pending inquiries, a police spokesman said.
