Humaira Bibi attended All Saints Primary School on Little Horton Green, less than a mile away from where the crash happened.
"At All Saints we are a very close community and are all deeply saddened by the tragic loss of one of our year six pupils, Humaira Bibi," head teacher Kathryn Shaw said.
"She was a very bubbly and popular member of the school and will be greatly missed by her friends and all the staff.
"We are supporting our community to try and process such a sudden and tragic loss of one of our own.
"On behalf of all the staff, families, our trust and, of course, the children, we send all our prayers and love to the family at this very difficult time."
West Yorkshire Police has appealed for witnesses or anyone with footage to get in touch.
