Two men have been arrested following a double stabbing.
A boy, aged 16, and a 20-year-old man suffered "serious injuries" in the attack on Tuesday in Levenshulme, Greater Manchester Police said.
The victims were taken to hospital with serious injuries with police describing the incident as a "targeted attack with no wider threat".
The men, both in their 20s, have been arrested on suspicion of assault.
"We understand the concerns of residents and want to reassure the community," Det Insp Natalie McDonald said.
"You may notice an increase in patrols of officers in the area. Please do not hesitate to stop to them, they are there to answer any questions or concerns you may have."
