Woman dies in crash on A87 in west Highlands

Police say a 57-year-old woman was killed in car crash in the west Highlands on Tuesday morning.

She was a passenger in a white Vauxhall Astra that crashed on the A87 near Inverinate, about two miles south of Eilean Donan Castle, at about 11:10.

A 57-year-old man, who was driving the car, was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for treatment.

Police have appealed for witnesses.
