A thief who threatened a retail worker with a knife while on a shoplifting spree has been jailed for almost five years.
Aimee Hulme, of Barley Mow Hotel in Pontefract, assaulted shop workers as she stole items like coffee and meat from shops in the Royston and Lundwood areas of Barnsley.
The 29-year-old admitted robbery, theft from a shop, and possession of a bladed article and drugs and was jailed for four years and 10 months at Sheffield Crown Court on Tuesday.
South Yorkshire Police's Sgt David Baker said: "I'm glad she is facing time behind bars. No-one should go to work and be threatened and attacked for doing their job."
