Humberside Fire and Rescue is the first fire service in the UK to receive the accreditation

A fire and rescue service is the first in the UK to be formally recognised after completing menopause training.

Humberside Fire and Rescue received the Menopause Friendly Accreditation, following training delivered by Henpicked: Menopause In The Workplace.

It included implementing menopause policy and hosting awareness workshops and networking groups.

Jordan Kerman, head of occupational health and wellbeing, said the team was "very proud" to achieve what he described as a "major milestone".

"We view creating an inclusive workplace not just as a duty, but as an opportunity to support their wellbeing and foster a supportive environment," Mr Kerman added.

Deborah Garlick, CEO and founder of Henpicked: Menopause in the Workplace, congratulated the service for "making such a positive impact within its workplace".
