Play areas get £300,000 refurbishment
Amber Valley Borough CouncilA number of play areas in Derbyshire are being upgraded in a £300,000 project.
Amber Valley Borough Council said money from the government's UK Shared Prosperity Fund was being used to carry out the work at various parks.
The play areas at Alfreton Welfare Recreation Ground, Codnor Market Place Recreation Ground, Crays Hill QE2 Park in Leabrooks and Crich Lane Rec in Belper have been revamped, the council said.
The work has involved installing new play equipment and putting in new safety surfacing.
The authority said Lee Lane Rec in Langley Mill, Loscoe Denby Lane Rec, and Lower Hartshay Play Area in Ripley had also been improved.
It added work on the schemes was now approaching completion.
