One person injured after car overturns on M2

A person was injured and taken to hospital after a car overturned on the M2 near Sittingbourne.

Police, fire and ambulance crews were called to the incident between junction 5 and 6 on the coastbound carriageway at 06:10 BST on Friday.

Six miles of queues built up after one lane was closed but all lanes reopened at 10:00.

A Kent Police spokesman said a person was "taken to a local hospital after injuries were reported".
