A man has died in hospital after he was struck by a vehicle on an A-road on Friday evening.

Essex Police said it received reports of a pedestrian in the carriageway of the A133 at Great Bentley, near Colchester, Essex, just after 20:00 BST.

There was then a report that a man had been hit by a vehicle.
