Police have set up crime scenes in Fonteyn Court

Four people have been arrested after a man was fatally stabbed.

The attack is believed to have happened shortly after midnight at a property in Fonteyn Court, Hemlington, Middlesbrough, and the 28-year-old died at the scene.

Cleveland Police has now arrested two men, aged 27 and 43, on suspicion of murder.

Another man, 38, and a 19-year-old woman are being held on suspicion of assisting an offender.

Officers have been reviewing CCTV footage and carrying out house to house inquiries.

Senior Investigating Officer Matt Hollingsworth said: "A lot of work has taken place behind the scenes in a bid to identify and then arrest those we believe to be involved in the murder.

"This will continue, and I would encourage anyone who has information and not yet spoken to police to get in touch."
