Climber badly injured by boulder

A climber in the Lake District suffered serious injuries when he was crushed by a boulder.
The man had been attempting to see if the large rock at Raven Crag was loose when he became trapped in his harness, Langdale and Ambleside Mountain Rescue Team (LAMRT) said.
Two passers-by had managed to get the man on to a small ledge and were administering help when emergency services, including fire and ambulance teams, arrived.
He was flown to hospital at Preston for further treatment.
LAMRT said the weekend's incident was a "harsh reminder" that it was possible to encounter loose rock at "well-travelled climbing destinations".
