Mother and son charged after stabbing
A mother and son have been charged and appeared in court after a man was stabbed.
Police were called to reports that a man had been injured in Leveret Gardens in Stowmarket, Suffolk, at 11:00 GMT on Sunday.
Ambulance crews took the victim, aged in his 20s, to hospital where he remains in a stable condition.
Simon Jones, 26, and his mother Nicola Jones, 60, both of Freehold Road, Needham Market, were charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. Mr Jones was also charged with possession of a knife in a public place.
They appeared before Ipswich Magistrates' Court and spoke only to confirm their names and addresses.
Mr Jones was remanded into custody while Mrs Jones was released on conditional bail.
Both are due to appear at Ipswich Crown Court on 4 March.
