Two men have been arrested after a man was found with stab wounds in a car park in Leicester.

A 38-year-old was found injured off King Richards Road, near the junction with Kate Street, at about 23:00 BST on Monday and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Leicestershire Police said two men, aged 42 and 44, had been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remained in police custody.

The force added the injured man remained in hospital but his injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.

A police cordon has been placed around a van in the car park, which has been closed to the public.
