Cyclist seriously injured in lorry crash

A cyclist in his 30s has sustained life-threatening injuries after a crash involving a lorry.

He was taken to hospital following the collision on St Philips Causeway in Bristol at the crossroad with Days Road. The incident happened at about 22:45 BST on Tuesday, Avon and Somerset Police said.

The road was closed throughout the night, but reopened on Wednesday morning.

Officers have urged anyone with relevant information to call police.
