Woman, 80, seriously injured in two-car crash

A woman in her 80s has been taken to hospital with serious, "potentially life-changing", injuries following a two-car crash.

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary said officers had been called to the crash on London Road in Portsmouth at about 14:00 GMT on Saturday.

The force said a black Audi A1 was reported to have collided with a green Toyota Aygo near the junction with Hewett Road.

The injured woman was one of the occupants of the Toyota.

The force appealed for anyone with information or dashcam footage to get in touch.
