Ten people ill after taking heroin, police say

Ten people have fallen ill in a north London borough after taking a substance believed to be heroin, police said.
Emergency services were called at 15:30 GMT on Monday to help a man who became unwell on Hampstead Heath, who told police he had taken the drug.
Several other people were taken ill in Camden Town and Jamestown, who were later linked with the purchase of heroin, the Met said. According to the force, six people were taken to hospital - all but one have been discharged since.
There have been no arrests, and inquiries are ongoing.
Det Ch Insp Chris Soole said: "We continue to work alongside our partners, including the local council and health professionals, to establish the full circumstances – in particular to confirm that the drugs are the cause of these people being taken ill and to identify anyone else who may have been affected."
The Met also issued a warning against buying and consuming illegal drugs.
"They are illegal and the trade is not regulated, so there are always very serious risks associated with taking these substances," the force said.
