Police force referred to watchdog after man's death

The death of a man in Norfolk has been referred to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC).
Norfolk Police said officers were called to an address in Granary Close, Wymondham, at 16:00 GMT on Friday by the East of England Ambulance Service, which reported a man acting aggressively towards its staff.
Officers attended and assisted paramedics but the man, aged in his forties, died in an ambulance as he was being taken to hospital. His next of kin have been informed.
The force said the man's death was referred to the IOPC as "standard procedure".
An IOPC spokesperson said: "We can confirm that we have received a referral from Norfolk Police following an incident in Wymondham on Friday, 28 March, where a man sadly died.
"We will carry out an assessment in due course to determine what further action may be required from us.
"Our thoughts are with the man's family and friends and all those affected by this incident."
