Police say the Talaria Sting is worth about £3,500

An electric motorbike worth about £3,500 has been seized by police near Lincoln.

Lincolnshire Police said the rider and passenger of the Talaria Sting were asked to stop on the Eastern Bypass on Friday when an officer noticed they were not wearing helmets.

Instead, they had their hoods up. "This is a really bad idea and also an offence," a spokesperson said.

The rider tried to steer the bike off the road but lost control on some gravel and both individuals ran away, according to the force.

A spokesperson said if no one came forward to claim the bike, it would be crushed.
