Council to run pots and pans recycling trial

Mid Devon District Council is running a recycling trial for old metal pots and pans.
The three-month long initiative will run from 28 February until 23 May, and will be available to certain properties in parts of Uffculme and Willand.
Those eligible can place metal pots and pans on top of their recycling container for collection but the council encourages residents to consider reusing the items first by donating to charity shops, friends, neighbours or family.
Councillor Josh Wright said: "This trial is just one of the ways we are looking to make it even easier for residents to recycle everything they can."
A council spokesperson said the recycled items would be sent to UK Metals, which is based in Thorverton.
They added: "We are continually looking at ways to recycle more.
"The council's cabinet approved trials in January, with another pilot for disposable nappies starting in late April."
