Visiting reinstated at wards hit by norovirus
The ban on visits for two hospital wards affected by a norovirus outbreak has been lifted.
Manx Care suspended visiting to wards six and eight at Noble's Hospital following a "significant increase" in cases last week.
But the healthcare service is still advising people with symptoms, such as diarrhoea and vomiting, to stay home.
It is pointing people towards the public health advice for the virus, which is posted on the government's website.
Hospital visitors have also been asked to "wash their hands with soap and water frequently".
Also known as the "winter vomiting bug", norovirus can last for about two days.
The Isle of Man's public health directorate recently issued advice on how people could protect themselves from the spread of winter illnesses.
