Men charged with attempted murder over shooting

Two men from Birmingham have been charged with attempted murder after a man and woman were injured in an alleged shooting.

The incident happened in Stanway Road in Gloucester on 18 January.

Simeon Bernard, 38, of Knightwick Crescent, and Darren Atkins, 41, of Hastings Road, were arrested on 20 March, and have both been charged with attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.

After appearing at Cheltenham Magistrates Court on Saturday, they were remanded in custody ahead of a hearing at Gloucester Crown Court on 25 April.
