Proposal for new homes near north Devon town

New homes could be built near a Devon town if planning permission is granted.
An application to build 10 homes next to Holsworthy on an area of two acres has been submitted to Torridge District Council.
Three homes on the development opposite St Andrew's Close, Sutcombe, are expected to be for social rent, and the site will link with a footpath and play area.
The local authority has until 29 May to make its decision.
The plans include a mix of two, three and four-bedroom properties, the Local Democracy Reporting Service reported.
Agents for the applicant, Trewin Design Architects, said the proposed development would provide an economic boost through construction work and more people being brought to the area.
