Fourth man charged over teenage boy shooting

A fourth man has been charged in connection with the shooting of a teenage boy nearly three months ago.

Northamptonshire Police was called to reports a 17-year-old boy had been seriously injured at Hazel Wood near Westcott Way, Corby, just after 16:30 BST on 11 April.

Ben Smith, 39, of Newark Drive, Corby, has been charged with assisting an offender and is due to appear at Northampton Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.

Three men previously charged with offences relating to the shooting will appear at Northampton Crown Court on Wednesday.

They are Robert Quittenton, 75, and Sam Stimpson, 37, both of Brambleside Court, Kettering, who were both charged with assisting an offender and Matas Sukaitis, 20, of Chaucer Close, Corby, who was charged with attempted murder, possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, and possession of a blade.
