Boy, 14, stabbed in the face near McDonald's
A 14-year-old boy has been stabbed in the face near a park and a McDonald's.
He was attacked near the entrance of Belle Vale Park on Childwall Valley Road in Liverpool at about 19:15 GMT on Wednesday, Merseyside Police said.
The boy is in a stable condition in hospital.
A dispersal zone has been put in place stretching from an area starting in Childwall Valley and going to the north-east of Belle Vale.
The order, which gives police power to ban people suspected of engaging in anti-social behaviour, lasts until 15:00 on Saturday.
Police patrols have been stepped up in the area and officers are "carrying out CCTV, forensic and witness enquiries", the force said.
Det Insp Natalie Charlesworth said: "The community will be understandably horrified to hear of a teenager being attacked in such a way, and we are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area and saw the incident, or anyone making off from the location."
Local policing chief inspector Steve Reilly urged parents to "know where your children are are at night".
